I'm thinking differently today Reply 2 Tammy Bartley Tammy Bartley17 hours ago Good to hear someone so passionate to reach out and make a difference in the lives of others. Reply John MacDonald John MacDonald1 day ago Great talk Anik, I remember meeting you when you had just started the first school and seeing how that has evolved into what this is now is mind blowing. Did your pupils draw that pie chart because 41% is way bigger than the small slice. As always it is a pleasure to see anyone helping those who need help, but enabling them to help themselves is way better as it gives people their dignity as well as a full belly. I understand that doctors, dentists and entrepreneur trainors are paying a rent to use your facilities that would help to make the school running by using the horizontal impact” but poor people can’t afford the cost of their services. Reply 2 Marie Benard Marie Benard1 day ago This is so powerful. Thanks, Anik! There was recently a participant in the Welfare Food Challenge on my radio show. People on welfare here in Vancouver, Canada live on about $2 day for food (if they're lucky... many people live on less than that). It creates a perpetual cycle of poverty, illness and hopelessness for many people. Rather than investing in our population, the social welfare system here provides barely enough to survive. Only the most resourceful and resilient are able to pull themselves out of extreme poverty... which becomes increasingly harder when a person is starving and chronically worried about money, to the point of major anxiety and sleeplessness. I'm wondering what a more empowerment-based social welfare system might look like here in Canada... and what difference it could make to our city, our country, and to the world. Reply 1 NAIRB ZUEQZAV NAIRB ZUEQZAV1 day ago Perception shift. have we given or more importantly have we empowered ourselves. enough with fake rara speeches for commission. in my opinion, Anik not only is empowering, he is providing communities an opportunity to empower them selves, to not be dependent on one source. while I can be wrong, but this is coming from someone in an environment of pure poverty. [poverty minded]. which is why I ask am I empowered by an outer source or from within! am I giving out an outer source [$$] or my inner passion [ infinite creativity-ideas] . I believe Aniks really contributing to a huge shift in how we all have been conditioned to be. good looking out Anik. It is a loan that they pay back as they start making a profit. This is a charity that I feel good about giving my money to. Reply 1 Bee Lor Bee Lor4 hours ago Thanks Anik for making such a great impact on those India children. Keep going. You can do it more. Reply Tho Nguyen Tho Nguyen16 hours ago Great! I completely agree with your stated viewpoint. The strength of education to poverty and social development. And I remember that World Bank clearly stated that the strength of education to poverty and social development would be larger if giving right education to the woman of the family. Reply Show more
